Adventure Riding in South America, Episode 2
Having ridden my motorcycle west from Paramaribo to Nieuw Nickerie the previous day, it was time to strike out across the Courantyne River to Guyana. The ferry leaves from South Drain, which is a little over half an hour from New Nickerie. Leaving town around seven thirty, it was a pretty morning for a ride. Little did I know that my journey was about to take a distinct turn for the worse.
