Ride with me on an adventure motorcycle journey from the surf breaks of northern Peru into the thin air of the Ecuadorian Andes in Highs and Hypoxia in the Ecuadorian Andes. This episode follows my solo motorcycle travel across the Peru–Ecuador border, through Huaquillas, Girón and Cuenca, and up into the stunning high-altitude landscapes of El Cajas National Park at over 4,000 metres. From chaotic border crossings, dramatic mountain riding, remote hiking and wild camping, this is real-world overland motorcycle travel. I also share the reality of touring at altitude, including suffering high-elevation sleep apnea while camping in the Andes.
