A wrong decision turned this ride into my toughest day yet. I set out toward Tulcán, chasing the stunning high-altitude landscapes of Ecuador’s El Ángel Ecological Reserve. What started as a scenic detour quickly spiraled into a test of endurance, judgment, and limits. Some decisions while riding are inconsequential, while others can deliver you more adventure than you bargained for.
